As an Android and iPad user (still haven’t tried the iPhone 😜), I can say that the iPad offers nearly all the features of AirPods, except for the customizable spatial audio, which requires an iPhone—though that’s not a deal-breaker.
For Android users, you’ll get Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and the basic functions like volume control, track skipping, and call handling work well. However, outside of these features, AirPods function like any standard Bluetooth device. You won’t be able to access:
1) Dual connection, which is exclusive to iOS.
2) Head tracking and spatial audio—available on iPad but not on Android.
3) Conversation awareness that reduces volume while talking, only works on iPad.
4) Limited audio codecs on Android—only AAC/SBC, no LDAC/LHDC or aptX, but Apple’s AAC provides solid competition. If your Android supports Dolby Atmos, you’ll enjoy great sound.
5) No battery indicator for Android users.
6) Definitely invest in a case for your AirPods.
As a user of OnePlus Buds 3 and Realme Buds Air 5 Pro, I can say they work well with Android. However, if you primarily plan to use them with an iPad, consider getting the Apple AirPods Gen 2 or Gen 3.
Overall, I think it’s worth it.

Good product, but the build quality could use some improvement.

Exceptional audio quality!

The case and earbuds are highly susceptible to scratches. It’s advisable to purchase a cover for your AirPods before getting them.

I absolutely adore it! ❤ However, the hinges are a bit noisy and feel slightly loose; everything else is great! 🥰
