I initially liked the Truke earbuds for their sound tuning and affordability compared to bass-heavy alternatives like Boat. While the ANC quality is below average, the call quality was impressive; I received no complaints during calls. The battery life was also excellent. However, after six months, my right earbud stopped working. I visited the service center in Marathahalli, Bangalore, and received a replacement within a week. Unfortunately, after about 11 months, the left earbud failed for the same reason—the contact strip stopped charging. I’ve owned two different Truke earbuds, and both had disappointing build quality issues. I would recommend considering more reliable brands like Boat or Noise instead.

Pros:
- Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): If you’re wearing these earbuds without playing music, you might not notice the ANC effect. However, during a meeting with a loud session happening right behind me, I was pleasantly surprised. Once I activated the ANC, I could concentrate on my meeting without any disruptive noise. It effectively dampens background chatter—while you may hear someone speaking, you won’t be able to comprehend what they’re saying, which is incredibly useful.
- Transparency Mode: This feature works remarkably well. At times, it seems to amplify your environment, making everything sound louder and clearer.
- Build Quality: The overall build quality is impressive for the price, and the cushions on the earbuds are comfortable. The black and yellow color combination of the case looks stylish.
- Portability: I often find larger cases cumbersome, but this one is sleek and easily fits in my pocket without discomfort.
Note: Although it claims to support fast charging, the manual suggests using a 5W power supply with the included cable. I recommend not using your phone charger, as it could negatively impact battery life.
- Call Quality: Call quality is excellent. I recorded conversations while playing music in the background, and the ANC seemed to reduce noise by about 50%. Some friends did mention they could hear me even in transparency mode when the environment was noisy.
- Sound Quality: While my phone supports Dolby Atmos and these earbuds do not, the sound quality is still commendable for the price. I find the standard mode to be the best option, and it offers sufficient volume.
Cons:
- No dual-device pairing.
- Lacks wear detection, which was a deal-breaker for me. 😢
- Despite having numerous features at this price point, the battery life is compromised. After 5-6 hours of use, the battery dropped to 45% with ANC on and off, which was disappointing. Frequent charging will lead to decreasing battery life over time.
- The left earbud tends to become loose occasionally, but using larger ear tips can help achieve a better fit.
Verdict: If you use your earbuds extensively, you may want to consider options with longer battery life.
- For ANC: Good value for the price (don’t expect miracles, but it works).
- For Portability: Definitely a great choice.
- For Music/Content Consumption: Not the first choice, but worth considering.
- For Calling/Work from Home: Usable, but be prepared to charge them frequently as they consume a lot of battery.
Remember, you’re spending ₹1500, not ₹5,000-₹10,000, so it’s unfair to make direct comparisons with those high-end models. For the price, this is a fantastic deal.
